Helsingin Bussiliikenne

In 2019 The Helsinki based bus operator Helsingin Bussiliikenne used vibe to monitor whether the construction of a new tramway was responsible for vibrations affecting the health of their drivers. Sensors were mounted onto the frame and the seats of the drivers area. Measurements were conducted over a specified series of weeks. Results were analysed and processed automatically before presented onto a live web based dashboard. In the dashboard the bus operator can easily detect which segments of road generate more vibrations. In addition, the anonymised bus driver schedules were assigned onto the dashboard, enabling visualisations of which drivers were driving more aggressively.
